The ba-acappella community was started in July 1996 by Michael Olivier. Over the course of about two years the community grew to over 300 subscribers, quickly becoming the best way to stay connected with the local vocal scene around the Bay.
Michael and Ping Huang manage the mailing list. Ping has been a big help in improving the quality of the list's content.
The web site was designed by Denine Uphoff and Michael. Denine designed the graphics and layout, and implemented the HTML. Michael handled the content aspects. Benjamin Turner has graciously volunteered to update the content periodically based on feedback from the community.
